Lessons from Surviving COVID Pneumonia

In early December 2020, I was exposed to COVID. The first few weeks were certainly challenging and as some of the symptoms seemed to ease up for about a week around Christmas, others came back swift and hard. From there, my case of COVID turned into a severe case of COVID pneumonia. I had a long journey full of many soul filled lessons while surviving COVID pneumonia.

I am incredibly grateful to feel better these days and to know that I am on the mend to a full recovery. There was times I didn’t know if I would make it to the other side of surviving COVID pneumonia. I learned so much over the last 8 months of this process. At first it was a fight, then acceptance, and then finally working with my body to heal. There is so much information out there and everybody’s journey is personal and unique. No two journeys are exactly alike and of course always consult your doctor and follow your own intuition.

In sharing my story, my hope is to empower others to advocate for themselves and to learn the power of staying connected to yourself and loving yourself through this process without fear.  We will cover many of the hardships, but also the immense blessings as I navigated one of the toughest times in my life surviving COVID pneumonia.
